1. About FCD

1.1 The promoter of this competition is Foreign Currency Direct PLC (referred to in these terms as “FCD”), a public limited company in England and Wales (company number: 05082565) with its head office and registered address at Currencies Mews, Badminton Court, Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire, HP7 0DD. FCD is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (register reference 902022) for the issuing of electronic money.


2. The competition

2.1 The title of the competition is “Win €500 from FCD.”
2.2 You can win €500 from FCD by:
(a) completing and returning FCD’s survey; and
(b) being the person whose survey is drawn at random.


3. How to enter

3.1 The competition will run from 8:00 a.m. GMT on 20 November 2019 to 23:59 GMT on 30 November 2019 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
3.2 All survey entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.3 To enter the prize draw:
(a) complete the survey, which you can obtain by emailing FCD on hse@currencies.co.uk;
(b) return the completed survey by the Closing Date online :
3.4 No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
3.5 FCD will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause.
3.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.

3.9 The completed surveys will be put into a hat with one name drawn by a member of the FCD team (the judge), the person’s name which is drawn will be the winner. The decision of the judge (acting reasonably) will be final.


4. Eligibility

4.1 The competition is only open to all persons aged 18 years or over, except:
(a) employees of FCD or its holding or subsidiary companies;
(b) members of the immediate families or households of (a) above.
4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. FCD may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.3 FCD will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(b) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
(c) photocopies and not originals; or
(d) incomplete.
4.4 There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4.5 FCD reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
4.6 Competition entries cannot be returned.


5. The prize

5.1 The prize is €500 and only one prize is available to be won.
5.2 The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
5.3 You do not have to claim the prize. You will supply your contact details as part of the competition entry form and FCD shall contact you if you have won the prize.


6. Winners

6.1 The decision of the judge nominated by FCD is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
6.2 FCD will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable on or after 2nd December 2019 (the “Announcement Date”), using the telephone number or email address provided with the survey entry. FCD will not amend any contact information once the survey has been submitted.
6.3 FCD must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation FCD will send the surname and county of the prize winner and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails hse@currencies.co.uk or writes to the address set out in clause 1 (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Announcement Date.
6.4 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact FCD hse@currencies.co.uk. In such circumstances, FCD must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.


7. Claiming the prize

7.1 Please allow 30 days from the Announcement Date for delivery of the prize.
7.2 The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7.3 FCD will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available within 14 days of the Announcement Date, FCD reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
7.4 FCD does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.


8. Limitation of liability

Insofar as is permitted by law, FCD, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of FCD, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.


9. Data protection and publicity

9.1 FCD will only process your personal information as set out in the https://www.currencies.co.uk/privacy-policy/. See also condition 6.3 and condition 6.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.


10. General

10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, FCD may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
10.2 FCD reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
