Today sees a couple of key economic data releases announced which include UK Mortgage Approvals at 9:30am and European Consumer Confidence at 10am. It is predicted that mortgage approval figures in the UK are to rise and that confidence in Europe is improved. The recent run of Euro strength has been put down to confidence in the Eurozone and so this data release today could lead to more Euro strength if it is as positive as predicted. Other key data of note is the Interest rate decision in the States which is due at 7:15pm where rates are expected to remain at 0.25%. Finally New Zealand interest rate decision is due at 8pm tonight and again it is expected that rates will remain on hold at 2.5%.
